My how the time flies....

I just realized that the craziness of the last few weeks has prompted me to stay away from our blog. Alot of things have happened. I have started teaching for my third year with a wonderful set of kiddos. Keith has decided to go back to school to become of all things an elementary teacher! I'm so excited for him, and he is on cloud nine. I know he is going to be an amazing teacher. And while we will never be millionaires...not that we would have been in the 1st place I look forward to working with him and being able to spend so much time together! I have always looked into the future as a skeptic mostly because I thought we would get into a crazy work schedule at some point where we never saw one another. Now I look to our future and see all kinds of possibilities! I can't wait!

Maple Canyon,Slot Canyons and Warren Jeff's followers

We have been very busy over the last two weeks. We went climbing at Maple Canyon and I finally climbed my unicorn ( a 5.7) HOORAY! The first pictures are of us camping and lounging in the hammock that Lauren and Derrick got us for a wedding present. During the excursion Larry had a run in with some baked beans on his head as well as some nasty sap that gathered quite a bit of sticks and dirt. He needed a bath BIG time! The last pictures are of us in Zion National Park in southern Utah. I was invited on a scouting trip with the guys from Keith's work so I jumped at it......anxiously. We did two slot canyons and we dove and rappeled into some of the coldest water I have ever been in (even in a wet suit). That afternoon we went to check out another canyon that happened to be in Hildale, AZ...right in the heart of a polygimist community. WOW! It was shocking to see everything I had seen on the news in first person. We slowly crept down a winding dirt road, surrounded by huge houses. We soon came to a pond and low and behold about 20 kids were swimming in their full clothes. We continued to the trailhead to find a pick up truck of several boys form about 16 to 5 years old. As soon as we stopped they all immediately puffed up and we could feel the tension without getting out of the Expedition. We decided to turn around and as we were leaving about 5 trucks filled with kids and women met us on the deserted road we had entered. It was definitely a weird experience. We did miss the Yonder Mountain and Keller show at the Gallivan but it was worth it to get over some of my fears at the canyons. School time is approaching and Keith's week long trip is coming up soon ! I guess the care free part of the summer is over. Can't wait until our At home reception OCT. 18th

Wedding, Honeymoon over...summer is still here!

Reading Bethan's blog reminded me to get back on here and slowly catch up. I AM NOW MRS. REIDFORD!! After the wedding stress, it was wonderful to see all the plans come into play on our special day. We wereboth so happy to be surrounded by our far away friends as well asour new ones. I love that after we went to bed the party got even crazier! I am going to look forward to the day that I I get to tell our kids about what happened at our wedding.

Anyway here are some pictures of the honeymoon and wedding pics should be up soon.

What we started with.....

Well, we started with alot of wallpaper, ugly nicotine stained walls, and a boat from our previous

owners in our front yard. It has been two months since we moved into our first home and WOW so much has changed. We have finished painting (except for trim) and we are about to put in new laminate floors. Neighbors came (about 20) to help us get all of the "natural barrier" the previous owners left us to clean out of the yard. And the boat is STILL HERE. No word on when it will be taken care of, but our real estate agent is taking care of the situation. Maybe we get it ? That would be a nice amount of money in our pockets.

New pictures as soon as I clean the house. But for now here is what I have.......
