Trip home

We just got back from Renee and Jarrod's wedding. I can't believe how beautiful it was! Bride and groom glowing, a boat ride and spending time with some of my closest high school friends. Then we got to hang out with some great college friends as well and the new generation of our friend group Emma and Kaden. Here are some pics...enjoy!

OOps!!!! Its been a year since I posted!

I can't believe its been a year since I posted a new blog! So much has changed this year. Keith graduated in May with his Masters in Elem. Ed. so he is currently interviewing for 4-6th grade jobs. I was just hired by Granite Schools to be a Reading Specialist for K-3 for Vista Elem. (only 15 minutes away not 45). I will be taking classes through Granite in a partnership with Utah State Univ. to finish a Reading Endorsement I and II, then only have 5 classes to finish my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Reading! I am so excited to start this new "normal" schedule of work hours with Keith! We get to take weekend trips soon!

This summer has been a bit different than our normal summers! We made a trip back to Indiana in June for sad circumstances, but seeing everyone was great! When we got back we had a visit from Keith's high school friend Pat and his gf. I love showing off my state to visitors! And then we started finishing up remodel projects we hadn't been able to finish. Now we have completely floored, painted, changed every light fixture, installed a porch, installed a door, and put up a fence. I can't believe how far this house has came from a 4 person family living in the dining/living room as well as 2 boats and a semi parked in the front yard to what it is now.

We are loving all the baby fever going around. I have so many babies to love on in Sept. when we come in for the Shellhammer/Eubanks wedding! I have yet to meet Jackson, who seems to be growing like a weed! I can't believe what a big boy he is! I can't wait to run away for a weekend to Hernanado, MS to see him. I also haven't met baby Emma! I will get to see her in Sept. though! I am just going to eat her up! And of course Baby Kaden has a lot to look forward to when it comes to Aunt Mocha and Uncle Keithers wisdom! hahaha.

Maybe I will be able to remember to blog more....probably not but heres hoping :)

Summer Time 09

Summer seems like it flew by. Our big trip of the summer was another road trip to Cali. We stopped in Vegas for a night, Joshua Tree Nat'l park for two nights and Del Mar for three. It was great! Especially the burrito place in Del Mar. Can't wait for the surfing vaca we are planning for next year. Baja or a hidden beach in Cali between L.A. and San Diego.

We have been climbing sooo much this summer and I finally feel comfortable on a top rope. I even climbed half a 5.9 last week only to be overcome by the dreaded disco leg. Oh well it gives me another goal. We are still looking forward to the fall for 10k training, since its so hot right now.

We celebrated our 1st anniv. with rock climbing @ our fav. crag with some great friends. I still have about 3 weeks until teachers go back to school and I'm trying my best to sleep in and stay up late. School starts on Aug. 20th and with the carpet being ripped up our school I have alot of organizing to do. All of my teacher everything is piled to the ceiling on the counter tops in my room. Arg, its going to take FOREVER!

Keith has one more week long work trip before the summer is over. He will be running a slot canyoneering trip in Zion Nat'l Park. I know he is getting frustrated with work, but I would still love to work by guiding a canyoneering trip. Here are a couple of my fav. pics from the summer. Hope everyone is doing good. So long for now.

Vail Vaca and Spring Break approaches!!

It took me way too long to get back on here to update pics from Vail, but here are a few. It was great to relax with old friends! I loved skiing there too. I am working on doing that more here in the Wasatch.
Nothing else is really going on. Renee left for France last Sunday, so I send out wedding planning (abroad to here in the states) karma everyday. Keith and I are excited about putting in carpet in the house soon! Also he has gone nuts on the yard getting it ready for a fence.
Oh yeah and I am going to TRY to run a 5K. I don't know how thats going to pan out exactly, but I have started a 12 week program to get me ready. Even if I don't I'll know I could in the future if I complete this plan. It doesn't seem too bad at all. Get with me if you want the program. It starts with 15 minutes every other day for 2 weeks. I know you all can do that.
Anyway my thoughts now are on Spring Break in a couple of weeks and an amazing week in Key West with friends in June.

Should be writing report cards....

Nothing is really new in the West. It seems like all the commotion is happening back home with the Ice Storm. It sounnds like a wrestler's name. Anyway I know remember the cons of KY ice. I send a good luck your way. and the hope that generators make soon so mom doesn't have to stay in the Rehab wing of the hospital anymore.

A little birdie tells me Renee is headed over seas soon......so jealous! I can't wait for her wedding. Keith has started a new part time job heling a friend in another outdoor therapy style business. He likes it, but it makes for some old married couple style Friday nights. We are both so exhausted by oour work weeks that we pass out watching one of the Rocky movies. Yes we are watching all five. God be with me. I am excited to take some time off of work to meet up with friends in Vail. I never thought that would a vacation I would take. But I am defnitely excited to see old friends and ski!

Uhoh I knew this would happen......

So as it turns out I have become technologically negligent when it comes to anything but facebook. Is there anyway that the my blog can remind me to post? I guess that would make the spontanity of blogging important events obsolete. Anyway I am going to honestly try to make it a point to at least update every 2 weeks at the latest.

So what has happened in the past months.......
Renee is engaged and moving in about a month to France. I can't believe it! How much fun will that be! Another good friend is expecting baby #2 (not sure if she is telling everyone yet) HOORAY! That is about it on the friend front.

Keith and I are enjoying the first year of marriage. I can't believe it has already been 7 months. Time seems to be flying by. We are busy planning trips (fingers crossed) in the coming year to reconnect with old friends. we are still trying to constantly update the house here and there. Here are some pictures of the new bathroom color. I never thought I would like yellow more than green. Also here are some winter pictures of Mom and I skiing on her visit out for Christmas. We had a blast! Well that's it for now.

Look for more specfic happening updates in the future.
